Our competitive program stresses the importance of a combination of fitness, technical skill, and emotional resiliency in order to achieve results in competition. We also recognize to be successful an athlete must maintain a high level of mental, emotional, and physical balance in order to achieve high-level performance results. We strive to support all our competitive fencers both inside and outside the club in order to help them achieve their goals.
Competitive fencers are also expected to be club leaders. Some of their responsibilities include; leading club warm ups, assisting with classes, emulating a high level of teamwork and sportsmanship, and other duties to build confidence and self esteem.
Coaches can provide information about local, regional, and national competitions or fencing with other clubs throughout the country. Additionally, fencing in competitions gets young people recognized by college coaches, providing an opportunities to continue fencing in college and possible scholarship opportunities.
